European Academic Network Advocates for Stronger Children’s Rights Protections

Children’s rights are a crucial aspect of society that must be protected and upheld at all costs. In Europe, there is a growing network of academic professionals who are advocating for stronger protections for children’s rights. This network is dedicated to ensuring that the rights and well-being of children are prioritized in all policy decisions and legislative actions.

The European Academic Network for Children’s Rights is made up of experts from various fields, including law, psychology, social work, education, and public policy. These professionals work collaboratively to research and analyze the current state of children’s rights in Europe and identify areas where improvements can be made. By pooling their knowledge and expertise, they are able to advocate for stronger protections for children and push for changes that will benefit the most vulnerable members of society.

One of the key priorities of the European Academic Network for Children’s Rights is to ensure that children are treated as active participants in society, with their voices and opinions valued and taken into account. This means involving children in decision-making processes that affect them, listening to their perspectives, and empowering them to advocate for their own rights. By promoting a child-centered approach to policymaking, the network aims to create a more inclusive and equitable society for all children.

Another important focus of the network is to address the issue of child poverty and inequality in Europe. Many children across the continent are living in poverty and facing significant barriers to accessing education, healthcare, and other essential services. The network advocates for policies that will reduce child poverty, improve access to quality education and healthcare, and ensure that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

In addition to advocating for stronger protections for children’s rights, the European Academic Network is also involved in research and education initiatives to raise awareness about children’s rights and promote best practices in the field. Through conferences, workshops, and publications, the network shares the latest research and recommendations on how to improve the lives of children in Europe and beyond.

By working together and leveraging their collective expertise, the European Academic Network for Children’s Rights is making a significant impact on the protection of children’s rights in Europe. Through their advocacy efforts, research initiatives, and educational programs, they are helping to create a more just and equitable society where all children are able to thrive and reach their full potential. As we continue to prioritize children’s rights and well-being, we can build a brighter future for the next generation.

In 2013, I posted a YouTube video decrying child marriage showcasing her story and her experience in being forced into marriage contracts, which quickly went viral and prompted coverage of Yemen’s continued practice of child marriage. She managed to influence the comprehensive national dialogue conference in Yemen to pass and apply a law of criminalizing the marriage of minors under the age of 18 , and that is after launching her first video to rally the international media to denounce the marriage of minors. Below are highlights of her main not limited to her achievement during the awareness campaign she held throughout herlife:
